ADF: Derrick Hall President’s Circle Grants

The Derrick Hall President’s Circle Grants, initiated by the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, aim to address critical social issues in Arizona such as homelessness, hunger, and healthcare access. With grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, they support organizations dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities. The Foundation's commitment to positive change is evident in its strategic funding initiatives, fostering resilience and compassion across the state, while partnering with local entities to enhance community welfare.

In addition, the Foundation has created strategic programs that address the needs of our community including veterans, police, teachers, and firefighters - just to name a few. The Majority of funds are raised through events and programs such as the annual Evening on the Diamond gala, 50/50 Raffle, D-backs Celebrity Golf Classic, D-backs Race Against Cancer, the D-backs License Plate program, Chase Field tours, Mystery Ball, D-backs Authentics, Online Auctions and major gifts from our players and partners in our community.

President’s Circle Grants are funded with a clearly defined goal of reducing homelessness, ending hunger, improving healthcare access, and supporting the most vulnerable in our community by working alongside individuals and organizations across Arizona to support our neighbors in need. The Diamondbacks Foundation is deeply committed to positive change which often starts with intentional acts and investments that inspire others and build momentum for broader transformation.
Through these grants, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation demonstrates an enduring dedication to addressing complex societal challenges, fostering resilience, and creating a more equitable and compassionate future for all Arizonans.
The President’s Circle grants are distributed in the amounts of $1,000 - $5,000 and are designated for programmatic expenses that directly impact the clients served by the organization.

Eligibility

Be physically located in the state of Arizona;
Have a classification as an organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code with a valid IRS Tax ID. Organizations without a valid IRS Tax ID must have a fiscal sponsor submit the application

Ineligibility

The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation President’s Circle Grants generally do not fund:Annual appeals or capital campaigns;Debt retirement, deficit financing, reduction of an operating deficit or replenishment of resources to pay for such purposes;Endowments;Fundraising activities or fundraising events;Individuals;Lobbying or legislative activities.
