Program Description

The Activity Fee Scholarship program ensures that every student who wants to join a team or activity-based club can do so, regardless of their financial situation. The program provides financial assistance to students for activity fees at the middle and high school levels.

Eligibility

• Grade Levels: Middle school and high school students
• Income Eligibility: Based on Free & Reduced Meals Program income guidelines
• District Coverage: Serves 46% of all district students; some schools exceed 80% participation
• Activities Covered: Sports teams and OSAA-sanctioned activity-based clubs

• Since 2003: Program has benefited nearly 8,000 middle and high school youth
• Annual Reach: Funds approximately 550 student activity fees at 16 middle and high schools
• 2023: Funded approximately 75% of activity fee requests totaling nearly $30,000
