Overview
The American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP) Research Grants Committee funds research that furthers the basic and/or clinical science of orofacial pain (especially non-odontogenic pain), prioritizing projects that generate high-quality preliminary data for future funding. The budget limit is $3,000; funds may cover research materials, patient payments, cost of conducting research, and statistical analyses (not travel or AAOP membership). Eligibility (priority order): residents/fellows in CODA-approved Orofacial Pain postdoctoral programs; junior faculty (<5 yrs); all other AAOP members. Submit a single de-identified PDF (<=10 pages) to the Research Committee chair.
