AAG Research Grants

The AAG Research Grants, offered by the American Association of Geographers, provide small funding opportunities for research and fieldwork. These grants support direct research expenses, with a maximum award of $500 per recipient. Eligibility is limited to AAG members with at least two years of membership. However, funds cannot be used for salary or overhead costs, and awards are not granted for dissertation research or if proposals are deemed unsuitable.

You are eligible to apply if you have been an AAG member for at least two years (not necessarily consecutive) at the time you submit your application.
