Aaaron Ardoin Foundation Research & Education Grants

The Aaaron Ardoin Foundation offers Research and Education Grants aimed at supporting organizations that address the needs of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. With a focus on funding programs that advance awareness, treatment, and care, the foundation reviews grant requests biannually. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to initiatives directly benefiting the sickle cell community, ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently and effectively.

The Aaron Ardoin Foundation Supporting Sickle Cell Research & Education stands as a vehicle of hope for the courageous children, adults and families that suffer with sickle cell disease.
Grant requests are reviewed twice each year.

Eligibility

The Foundation awards grants only to organizations that are exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
In keeping with the Foundation's mission, grants are awarded to agencies or community organizations with programs and research related to sickle cell disease and families impacted by the disease.
Funding is to be used directly to meet specific needs within the sickle cell community and shall not be used to support fundraising or sponsorship events.The following criteria will be used to evaluate each proposal:Demonstration of value to the advancement of awareness, treatment, care or cure of sickle diseaseProvision of documentation that non-profit is a 501(c)3 organizationSupplied timetable and/or funding planDescription of the implementation scheduleExplanation of how the proposed activity justifies the grant requestClearly written and understandable to the average educated reviewer
