AAAA Diversity Scholarship

The AAAA Diversity Scholarship enhances opportunities within the CAA profession by developing an inclusive profession for people of all backgrounds to pursue their passion for patient care.

Eligibility Requirements

• Active AAAA student member (required)
• Accepted to any Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) program and/or in good academic standing of a matriculating class in any AA program
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.3
• Demonstrate need for financial support or assistance in personal statement

• Diversity and inclusion in the CAA profession
• Supporting underrepresented backgrounds in anesthesia care

Geographic Scope

• United States (AAAA is based in Middleton, WI)

• Grading uses a holistic review process
• All applicants will be notified of results regardless of selection
• Winning applicants must supply their program's information, a photograph, and a short bio to be featured in the Anesthesia Record

Application Process

1. Eligibility Verification: Confirm you are an active AAAA member
2. Submit Required Materials:
   • Essay (topic is chosen by AAAA leadership and is unique each year)
   • Application form (provided during the application window)
3. Include Personal Statement: Demonstrate need for financial support or assistance
4. Submission: Submit during the designated application window
5. Notification: AAAA will notify you upon receipt of your complete application
6. Results: All applicants will be notified of results
7. Post-Award: If selected, winners must provide program information, photograph, and short bio for publication in the Anesthesia Record
