A.C. 'Whitey' Gwynne Scholarship

Overview: Scholarship for students in their second year of a professional athletic training program or those completing their master's degree, who plan to pursue athletic training as their primary profession.

Geographic Scope: Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association District III (Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and District of Columbia)

Eligibility:

  • Currently in second year of professional athletic training program, OR

  • Will have completed master's degree by the time scholarship is presented

  • Must plan to pursue athletic training as means of livelihood

  • Enrolled in a CAATE-accredited program
  • Award Details:

  • First-place award: $2,000.00

  • Second-place award: $1,500.00

    1. Scholarship application form
    2. ATEP (Athletic Training Education Program) recommendation
    3. Clinical recommendation (preceptor)
