The Hanger Foundation provides annual grant opportunities for nonprofit organizations in the United States. Since 2009, the Foundation has awarded over $5 million in grant funding to 214 nonprofit organizations sharing goals to empower people with physical challenges to live life as fully as possible. This grant specifically supports veterans.

Focus Areas

The Hanger Foundation supports 501(c)(3) organizations focused on empowering veterans through:

• Rehabilitation and support services for related illnesses or trauma, such as combat-related injuries
• Athletic programs, social activities, and events for veterans with physical challenges, with special emphasis on individuals with limb loss or limb difference

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
• Must serve veterans with physical challenges in the United States
• Must fit within the Foundation's focus areas
• Applicants must complete the Grant Application Process
• All grants are currently one-year grants only

Funding Parameters

• Operating expenses are only funded up to 15% of the total grant and only when connected with a funded project or program
