Funder: The Parkinson Council

Geographic Scope: Greater Philadelphia area (Southeastern PA, Southern NJ, and Northeast Delaware)

Focus Areas:

  • Research initiatives that may lead to improved quality of life, improved symptomatic relief, or help identify the cause or cure for Parkinson's Disease

  • Activities that bring awareness of Parkinson's disease to the medical, general, and underserved communities through advocacy and education

  • Support for emotional and physical needs that have the potential to improve symptoms and enhance quality of life for the person and care-partner

  • Support groups for patients and care-partners
  • Key Consideration: Additional consideration given to submissions demonstrating commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as innovation with respect to creating access to care and treatment for individuals living with Parkinson's.

  • 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organizations in good standing at federal and state levels

  • Located in Greater Philadelphia area (Southeastern PA, Southern NJ, and Northeast Delaware)
  • Who Cannot Apply:

  • Individuals

  • Government agencies

  • Organizations seeking capital building funds or lobbying support
  • Grantee Categories

    Current Grantees: Existing partners with proven record of results and solid commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

    New Applicants: Organizations offering innovative programs in clinical care and services, research, or quality-of-life initiatives

    2. Cover letter on institution's letterhead detailing:
    - Experiences and expertise in working with the Parkinson's community
    - Outcomes and impact
    3. Official IRS letter confirming nonprofit tax status
    4. Total funds requested
    5. Other sources of funding for this work (if any)
    6. If research: IRB approval of the project is required
    7. Sustainability plan
