2026 Mini Grants: The West Coast

Overview: The West Coast Mini-Grant Program is designed to support grassroots organizations serving LGBTQ+ Asian American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities in the U.S. West Coast and Pacific region. These mini-grants are investments in grassroots vision, leadership, and community power.

Purpose

Funding for events and activities that:
• Strengthen community power
• Promote advocacy
• Foster organizing and mobilization efforts

Eligible Activities

• Educational forums
• Leadership development workshops
• Community gatherings
• Other initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ AANHPI communities

Event Timeline

Funded events must occur between July 1, 2026 - September 30, 2026

Grassroots organizations or community groups explicitly serving LGBTQ+ AANHPI communities in:
• Alaska
• Arizona
• California
• Colorado
• Hawaii
• Idaho
• Montana
• Nevada
• New Mexico
• Oregon
• Utah
• Washington
• Wyoming
• American Samoa
• Guam

Eligibility

Applicants: Grassroots organizations or community groups explicitly serving LGBTQ+ AANHPI communities in eligible West Coast/Pacific locations

Background

As part of NQAPIA's Mini-Grant Program (launched in 2024), which has funded 18 grassroots projects to pilot new initiatives or sustain existing programming in direct service, mutual aid, community organizing, civic engagement and advocacy, rapid response, and cultural awareness and celebration.
