2026 Annual Grant Cycle

The Foundation prioritizes requests from nonprofit organizations that address:

    Eligibility Requirements

    Eligible Applicants:

  • Nonprofit organizations only

  • Priority: Organizations that have previously received Three Arches Foundation funding (for 2026 cycle)

  • Must demonstrate established presence in Lakewood and surrounding communities
  • Ineligible Applicants:

  • Government entities

  • Religious organizations
  • Grant Criteria - Requests receive strongest consideration when meeting:

    1. Purpose Alignment – Request aligns with mission and funding priority area of equitable access to behavioral and/or physical health care for those impacted by health disparities

    2. Geographic Focus – Organization has established presence within TAF's geographic focus of Lakewood and surrounding communities; proposed work directly serves significant number of people in area

    3. Experience – Organization has demonstrated experience and proven track record in delivering behavioral and/or physical health care programs and services

    4. Approach – Request focuses on actionable efforts that make it easier for people to afford, understand, navigate, and utilize services – when, where, and how they are needed

    5. Leveraged Resources – Proposed work addresses demonstrated need in approach that leverages community and organizational partnerships and resources

    6. Evaluation and Learning – Thoughtful and realistic plan in place to monitor progress, measure outcomes, and assess effectiveness of work

    Allowable Use of Funds

    • Capacity Building – Strengthening organization's infrastructure, leadership, or systems to be more effective and sustainable
    • Pilot Project – Testing new idea on small scale to learn how it might work on broader scale
    • Program Support or Development – Costs associated with current, new, or expanded programs and services
    • General Operating – Exclusively available for organizations whose core mission centers on behavioral and/or physical health programs or services; typically requested grant amount does not exceed 10% of annual organizational budget (pre-approval conversation required)

    What TAF Does NOT Fund

    • Endowments
    • Research
    • Debt retirement
    • Capital or fundraising campaigns (including annual appeals)
    • Fundraising events
    • Membership drives
    • Scholarships
    • Grants to government entities or religious organizations

    Award Amount

    Typical Range: $25,000 - $100,000

    Funding Term: One-year basis

    Special Considerations

    Joint Requests: Foundation encourages collaboration and partnership among grantees and will consider joint requests from multiple applicants, even if one applicant plans to submit separate request. Requirements:

  • Two or more organizations working together on project

  • At least two organizations receive portion of grant funds

  • Lead organization is current or past grantee

    Step 1 – Discovery Process: Request Summary

  • Deadline: July 24, 2026 (no late submissions accepted)

  • Requirement: Required for all eligible organizations

  • Submission: Via TAF's online portal (Foundant)

  • Notification: Organizations notified via email August 13-14 whether invited to advance to application step
  • Step 2 – Application Process

  • Available: August 14, 2026

  • Deadline: September 4, 2026

  • Requirement: By invitation only (Request Summary must be accepted first)

  • Note: Invitation to submit Application does not guarantee funding

  • Review: Applications reviewed and evaluated by staff and directors

  • Possible Follow-up: Foundation may schedule conversation or reach out with questions during this stage
  • Step 3 – Funding Decision

  • Decision Date: November 12, 2026

  • Notification: Applicants notified of outcome by November 16, 2026

  • Note: Decline of grant request is not reflection of value or quality of proposed work

  • Budget and budget narrative

  • Organizational capacity and experience

  • Evaluation and measurement plan

  • Additional materials as requested
