Mission: United Way of New York City mobilizes our communities to break down barriers and build opportunities that improve the lives of low-income New Yorkers for the benefit of all.
Primary Program Areas:
Justice & Opportunity — Partnering with government and trusted community partners to build sustainable community safety. The organization operates Atlas, a signature innovation in justice reform designed in partnership with the New York City Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Safety, building networks of support for justice-involved young people through evidence-based therapeutic support, civic engagement, and mentorship.

The Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP) provides support to over 600 community-based organizations throughout the city.
