Greenfield served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and had a professional career that included positions at IBM and Sprout Ventures, as well as co-founding two investment businesses, including Oak Investment Partners. He was known for his passionate love of birdwatching and hiking and his deep desire to make the world a better place.
