Seattle Children's Hospital (DBA KC Howard Guild)

Public charity · Grantmaker Seattle, WA EIN: 94-3227921

The KC howard guild was founded in 1995 to support seattle children's hospital (a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt hospital) by raising awareness and funds primarily for its uncompensated care program. For over twenty years, the guild has enjoyed working as a group of friends with one common goal - to help seattle children's realize its goal of ensuring that children at the hospital receive the best care regardless of their families' ability to pay. In the process, the guild members have fun, do some important community work, and learn along the way. The guild is named after katherine colwell (KC) howard, who is the granddaughter of anna herr clise, the founder of the children's orthopedic hospital (now known as seattle children's hospital). KC grew up volunteering her time and efforts over many years, involving herself in projects at the hospital as well as serving on the board of trustees. The KC howard guild is honored to be named for her.
