We Are Family Foundation (WAFF) was co-founded in 2001 by Nile Rodgers and Nancy Hunt in the wake of September 11 to bring people together and promote healing. Initially created around the re-recording of the hit song 'We Are Family,' the organization has evolved into a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people globally through programs that promote cultural diversity, fight systemic racism and inequality, and support youth changemakers addressing solutions to basic human needs.
