THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH THIS CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED ARE AS FOLLOWS: (1) TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND ENCOURAGE PERSONS TO PURSUE CAREERS IN ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY; (2) TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO PERSONS INTERESTED IN ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY; (3) TO WORK WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS AND TO STRENGTHEN NETWORKS OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS; (4) TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR PUBLIC INTEREST GOALS; (5) TO PURSUE ANY OTHER PUBLIC INTEREST GOALS NOT IN CONFLICT WITH THOSE ABOVE STATES PROVISIONS OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION AND NON-PROFIT CORPORATIONS STATUTES UNDER WHICH IT ESTABLISHED AND OPERATED.
