THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE FUNCTIONS, SERVICES, RESOURCES AND NEEDS OF THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM; TO ASSIST IN PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE OF AND PARTICIPATION IN LIBRARY PROGRAMS; TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAMS FOR THE EXTENSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE LIBRARY'S RESOURCES AND SERVICES; AND TO STIMULATE GIFTS, ENDOWMENTS AND BEQUESTS TO THE LIBRARY.
