THE CBC IS AN ORGANIZATION OF CHIEF EXECUTIVES OF THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA COMMITTED TO IDENTIFYING AND PROVIDING LEADERSHIP ON SELECTED ISSUES THE MEMBERS CONSIDER ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO THE LONG-TERM ECONOMIC VITALITY AND WELL-BEING OF THE GREATER CINCINNATI COMMUNITY AND IN WHICH THE CBC'S ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT WILL MAKE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE.THE CBC PROVIDES A FORUM IN WHICH ITS MEMBERS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW ISSUES, RECEIVE REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM VARIOUS PARTIES (E.G. SCHOOLS, THE COUNTY, CITY), EXCHANGE VIEWS, AND DEVELOP COMMITMENT, CONSENSUS AND PLANS FOR ACTION. SPECIAL EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (WITH PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE, FOCUS ON DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI), PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS. THE CBC WORKS, WHENEVER POSSIBLE, THROUGH APPROPRIATE EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN THESE ACTIVITIES. MEMBERSHIP IS COMPRISED OF A MAXIMUM OF 30 CINCINNATI BUSINESS ENTERPRISES.
