Chicago Building Congress is the only vertically-integrated trade association serving the Chicago area, uniquely representing the entire construction industry by uniting its diverse membership through networking opportunities, educational programs, and recognition of outstanding projects. Founded in 1939, CBC brings together professionals from all sectors including general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, real estate firms, labor unions, and service providers to advance the art and science of building, celebrate the built environment, recognize industry leaders, and develop the next generation of construction professionals through its Future Leaders Program and Merit Awards Program, which has celebrated exceptional projects in the region since 1956.
