Strengthening the Oral Health Safety Net Initiative The foundation supports programs designed to build oral health capacity at the national, state/regional, and community levels. This includes partnerships with the National Association of Community Health Centers at the national level, state/regional Primary Care Associations at the state level, and technical assistance to FQHC-affiliated safety net dental programs through the Safety Net Solutions program at the community level.
Grassroots Engagement Initiative The foundation supports community-based organizations that engage populations most directly impacted by oral health equity, with the goal of lifting up the needs and values of populations at the local, grassroots level.
Additional focus areas include oral health workforce development, culturally responsible approaches to serving Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, data-driven decision making for oral health, and advocacy for inclusion of adult dental benefits in Medicaid and Medicare.
