Community Catalyst's mission centers on building a health system grounded in racial equity and health justice, creating a society where health is a fundamental right for all. The organization works alongside state, local, and national partners to expand coverage, strengthen patient protections, and improve health and economic security for families across the country.

Primary Program Areas:

• Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation: Works directly with advocates to increase skills and power in establishing permanent and effective consumer voices, particularly for those with complex health and social needs. Collaborates with health plans, hospitals, and providers to incorporate community experience into care system design.

• Policy Advocacy: Works with state and federal policymakers to make systems more responsive to communities by advocating for policies that reduce inequities and improve health.

• Fee-Based Consulting Services: Provides consulting to public programs, health plans, hospitals, and health systems to engage communities in meaningful ways for health system transformation.

• Together for Medicaid: A partnership between Community Catalyst, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families that creates advocacy campaigns with community-based organizations and cohorts of Medicaid expansion advocates.

• Vaccine Equity & Access Program (VEAP): Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this program addresses vaccine confidence issues and enhances influenza and COVID-19 vaccination coverage for adults experiencing disparities in the United States, with a focus on boosting vaccination rates for underrepresented racial and ethnic populations.
