He was killed in an automobile accident in the summer of 1973 shortly after completing his freshman year.
The fund was established by two Tavistock Country Club members in consultation with the Fulton family. Bobby's father, Robert E. Fulton, and grandfather, Samuel E. Fulton, were both known for their service to youth, which informed the foundation's mission.
