The largest listed award was $10 million to CHRISTUS St. Vincent Medical Center for its Clinical Support Fund. Anchorum’s website describes a $109 million, 10-year Clinical Support Fund investment, beginning with $20 million in FY2024, to improve access to care in northern New Mexico. The fund’s stated areas include cancer care, maternal health, primary care, trauma services, and healthcare workforce development. The 2024 filing says a special $10 million contribution supported construction of a new cancer center.

Anchorum also describes a five-year, $25 million investment in five northern New Mexico community foundations to support locally defined priorities such as food security and housing. Its 2025 filing lists grants to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Taos, and Las Vegas community foundations, among others.

The foundation says grant decisions may draw on applications, proposals, and conversations with organizations. Grant purposes and objectives are set out in a written grant letter or agreement; grantees’ eligibility is verified, and performance measures and results are tracked and evaluated with Anchorum.

Anchorum’s website describes sponsorships as support for one-time community events or activities, typically ranging from $500 to $5,000; it distinguishes these from grants for ongoing initiatives. Sponsorship applications are accepted on a rolling basis, subject to available funding, and the foundation recommends applying at least 60 days before an event. Applicants must be registered 501(c)(3) organizations or federally or state-recognized Tribes, Pueblos, or Nations, and requests should align with Anchorum’s mission and strategy. Preference is given to organizations serving Tribal communities and Pueblos and Anchorum’s 13-county service area, followed by four adjacent counties and then statewide organizations.

The Anchorum Master of Science in Nursing Scholarship covers 90% of annual program costs, up to $18,000 per year, for eligible New Mexico residents pursuing an MSN. Renewal requires a minimum 2.5 GPA, and recipients commit to applying their degree in northern New Mexico or a Tribal-serving organization or clinic for at least two years after completion. It is administered by New Mexico Foundation and supports individual students, rather than providing grants to outside organizations. The Homegrown Housing Program, launched in August 2025, supports community-driven affordable-housing work in specified northern New Mexico communities through training, coaching, peer support, and, for some projects, predevelopment funding.
