AMERICAN LEGION POST 284'S MISSION DUPLICATES THAT OF OUR PARENT ORGANIZATION IN EVERY RESPECT. WE SUPPORT, IN A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT WAYS, THE CORE VALUE OF THE AMERICAN LEGION, NAMELY PROVIDING SUPPORT TO AMERICANISM, VETERANS, CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS, AND OUR COMMUNITIES. WE PROVIDE VOLUNTEER HOURS AND MONETARY DONATIONS TO SUPPORT THOSE CAUSES. IN ADDITION, WE EDUCATE OUR MEMBERSHIP ON THE MOST EFFICIENT AND BENEFICIAL WAYS TO ACCOMPLISH THAT MISSION.
