Catskill Mountainkeeper says its mission includes protecting forests and wildlands, safeguarding air and water, and supporting environmental justice communities. Open Space Institute says it protects land for clean drinking water, recreation, communities, and wildlife habitat, and conserves forests and floodplains. Climate Central describes its work as researching and reporting on climate change and its impacts and solutions. Hudson River Sloop Clearwater says it works to protect the Hudson River and related waters through education, advocacy, and stewardship. Wildlife Conservation Society says it works to save wildlife and wild places worldwide. The Wilderness Society says it works to protect America’s public lands, and Scenic America describes itself as a national advocacy organization promoting scenic byways, utility undergrounding, highway beautification, and responsible community development.
