THE ALS ASSOCIATION IS THE ONLY NATIONAL NON-PROFIT VOLUNTARY HEALTH ORGANIZATION DEDICATED SOLELY TO THE FIGHT AGAINST ALS, OR AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS (OFTEN CALLED LOU GEHRIG'S DISEASE). THE ASSOCIATION'S MISSION IS TO FIND A CURE FOR AND IMPROVE THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF THOSE SUFFERING FROM ALS.
