ASJ'S MISSION IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE NEEDS OF COMMUNITIES MOST IMPACTED BY CRIME, VIOLENCE AND INCARCERATION AND TO ENGAGE IN PROMOTING NEW SAFETY SOLUTIONS THROUGH COMMUNITY-BUILDING, ORGANIZING, AND ADVOCATING FOR SAFETY SOLUTIONS THAT REDUCE EXCESSIVE INCARCERATION AND EXPAND COMMUNITY WELLBEING. WE SUPPORT A RANGE OF SHARED SAFETY SOLUTIONS, INCLUDING REDUCING THE OVERUSE OF INCARCERATION AND EXPANDING CRIME PREVENTION, COMMUNITY HEALTH, REHABILITATION, ECONOMIC MOBILITY, AND TRAUMA RECOVERY.
