Able South Carolina (Able SC) is a disability-led organization with a mission to equip people with disabilities with tools to foster pride and direct their own lives; educate the community to challenge stereotypes and eliminate barriers; and advocate for access, independence, opportunity, and the rights of disabled people.Able SC serves people of all ages and all disabilities. During the year, we directly served more than 4,000 disabled people while working to improve communities and systems throughout South Carolina. With approximately one in three South Carolinians living with a disability, our work addresses barriers that affect a significant portion of our state.Able SC is at the forefront of advancing independence, accessibility, and opportunity for disabled people. Through direct services, peer support, education, community partnerships, and systems advocacy, we work to remove barriers and ensure disabled people have the opportunity to make their own choices and fully participate
