IN FY 2018-2019, THE EARL SCRUGGS CENTER SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED THE NUMBER OF PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED TO THE COMMUNITY, DOUBLING THE NUMBER OFFERED IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR. AS WE MOVED INTO FY 2019-2020, PLANS WERE UNDERWAY TO CONTINUE THIS PROGRAMMING AND WE BEGAN TO OFFER NEW OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS THE MUSICAL EXPLORATIONS PROGRAM, A FREE MUSIC AND CULTURE OPPORTUNITY FOR CHILDREN, AND COFFEE WITH THE CURATOR, A SERIES FOCUSED ON LOCAL HISTORY AND THE CLEVELAND COUNTY HISTORICAL COLLECTION. HOWEVER, THESE PLANS CAME TO A HALT IN MARCH 2020, WHEN WE CLOSED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. WE RESUMED ONSITE PROGRAMMING IN MAY 2021 AND HAVE MADE GREAT EFFORTS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO OUR COMMUNITY IN A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE WAY. THIS FUNDING WILL HELP US BRING PROGRAMMING, RESOURCES, AND REVENUE BACK TO PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS.$20,000
