We help charitably-minded individuals, families and businesses support causes that serve children and their families in our region. We work with professional advisors to offer philanthropy planning to their clients. And above all, we are building the bridge to a stronger, more vibrant community. Child Welfare Capacity Building Grant The Child Welfare Capacity Building Grant will aid and support nonprofits whose primary mission is to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of children by addressing child abuse and neglect through foster/adoption care, prevention, and treatment of child abuse. This grant will provide resources for organizations to build strong staff and boards, plan for their futures, evaluate programs, improve finances, support critical indirect staff positions, and update technology so they can serve the community with a sense of confidence. Award amounts will generally be $10,000. Guidelines YouthBridge Community Foundation will award grants to child or youth serving nonprofit organizations that are located in and primarily serve the St. Louis metropolitan area.Eligibility

To apply for a Child Welfare Capacity Building Grant, organizations must: Be incorporated as an IRC 501(c)(3) public charity.Be a child or youth serving nonprofit focused on the prevention or treatment of child abuse and neglect.Be located in the St. Louis metropolitan area.Be fiscally sound.Have been in operation for at least two years, including branches or franchises of national organizations.Have staff leadership that has been in place for a minimum of one year or can demonstrate effectiveness in organizational leadership.YouthBridge will give preferred consideration to those eligible organizations with an annual budget of less than $10 million.Current YouthBridge Community Foundation Heritage Grant Awardees are not eligible.Allowable Activities: fundraising (assessing/developing strategies, plans, content; support existing development staff)performance measurement (develop/refine performance metrics, plans/materials to capture metrics, systems to analyze and use metrics; database purchases/set-up/training; support existing staff to oversee performance measurement)communications/marketing (develop communications plans, content and materials, train staff; support existing staff to manage communications; purchases of platforms, subscriptions, or software)strategic planning (plan for and facilitate the latest plans or strategies, sometimes helping with implementation support)board development (helping CEOs/Executive Directors and board dynamics, training board members on general and specific responsibilities, coaching for board Presidents)professional development and training for direct services stafftechnology (assess/purchase/get trained on or consistently manage technologies that best support management/operations and program needs)Focus Areas & Funding Uses
