Youth Engagement Participation Program | Cohort Two

Status: Completed (October 2022 - April 2023)

Geographic Scope: California (three YMCAs participated: Anaheim Family YMCA, Channel Islands YMCA, YMCA of San Joaquin County)

Focus Areas:

  • Youth education on safe practices to prevent COVID-19 infections

  • Youth leadership and advocacy on COVID-19 vaccinations

  • Community engagement through interactive formats

    • Key Accomplishments:

  • Taught 10,873 youth about COVID-19 and safe practices

  • Reached 30,401 members through informational displays at local YMCAs

  • Hosted 20 events attracting 18,000+ attendees

  • Collaborated with community through 18 community events with 10,000+ individual touchpoints

  • Created safe environments for open community exchange

    • Eligibility:

  • YMCA organizations within California

    • Partner: Vaccinate All 58 campaign of the California Department of Public Health
