Mission Statement:
The Wyckoff Family Foundation is a not-for-profit family foundation dedicated to the well being of
children in the greater Geneva, NY area. Grants are made to programs and agencies that enrich the lives
of youth (0-18 years) through education, health, justice, and the arts.
Our founder, Margaret Humphrey Wyckoff, dedicated much of her life to volunteer work and support of
charitable organizations in Geneva. Our mission is based on her belief in the importance of early
childhood education and her concern for the well being of children in this community.
The aim of the Foundation is to encourage innovation, new projects, and creative ways to make a
positive difference in children’s lives.
Guidelines for Grants:
All communications must be made through the Foundation Secretary via email–
wffsecretary@gmail.com. First-time grants will generally be in the $5,000 to $10,000 range; previous
grantees may request up to $20,000. The deadline for receipt of proposals is May 15; applicants will be
notified by June 30. Submission by e-mail is required. No grants will be made to individuals or
endowments. Grants to religious organizations are made only for nonsectarian programs.
Any applicant planning to use the facility of another (host) organization in carrying out the work
summarized in the applicant’s proposal must attach proof to each application of permission
granted by the host organization for the applicant to use that host organization’s space.
Proposals:
Proposals must use the template, attached, to format their application for funds.
Reports:
1. Recipients must provide a concise, written report to the Foundation via e-mail by April 15th,
explaining how the funds have been used to date. Please budget enough time/money to provide the
Foundation with a good quality report that reflects upon the Outcomes portion of the application.
We will provide you with an example of such a report at your request.
2. No new proposal will be considered, from a group or agency, until the report for any previous
grant has been received and reviewed.
Critical Dates:
April 15 - Due date for reports for the previous year’s grants
May 15 – Due date for proposals
The Wyckoff Family Foundation believes that sharing data from applications and reports will benefit
the community at large and reserves the right to share the data submitted with any parties. Please

1. What is the future of this project beyond the grant period?

Fill out the Organization Information Sheet and the Program/Project Budget Sheet. Provide a brief
budget narrative to explain the budget.
Address the questions in (A) through (F) above as specifically as possible in four typed pages or fewer.
Do not repeat information from one section to another.
• Prepare a one-page Executive Summary in bulleted form as a brief synopsis of your request, that is able
to stand alone. It should include:
• Summary of need addressed, population served, services provided, timeframe, location, outcomes.
• Amount requested, total cost of effort, fit with funding interest.

• The IRS determination letter advising that your organization is exempt from taxes under Section
501(c)(3) of the IRS code and that the organization is not a private foundation as defined in Section
