Wyandot County Community Foundation Grant

The Wyandot County Community Foundation Grant supports organizations that effectively address the educational, cultural, health, social service, recreational, and economic development needs of Wyandot County. Grants range from $200 to $4000 and are awarded annually to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations and government units serving the area. The foundation prioritizes projects that demonstrate efficiency and broad community impact, while excluding regular operating funds and personal scholarships.

The purpose of Wyandot County Community Foundation Grant Program is to support organizations that significantly and efficiently meet the educational, cultural, health, social service, recreational and economics development needs of Wyandot County, regardless of gender, race, color or creed. WCCF's Board of Trustees awards grants annually.
Grants range from $200 to $4000.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding consideration by the WCCF Grants Program, organizations must be a 501(c) (3), as determined by the Internal Revenue Service, or a unit of government such as a county, city, township or public school board. WCCF's Grant Program is limited to organizations operating and/or serving residents of Wyandot County area. The WCCF normally limits its grants to organizations operating and/or serving residents in the Wyandot County area. Distributions from the unrestricted funds of the WCCF are awarded:That most efficiently meets the needs of the people of Wyandot County.School grants will be considered if the project is for building- or system-wide use or will be used by a broad spectrum of the school populationNew projects of established organizations.New programs only if they can demonstrate that they will become financially self supporting beyond the initial start-up period. Financial documents to support this need to be included with the application.

Ineligibility

Among the purposes which the WCCF does not usually fulfill are grant requests that include: Regular operating fundsAnnual campaigns, local or nationalEndowment programs (other than those previously determined Sectarian religious purposesLoans Graduate fellowships and travel grants to individualsResearch grantsThose organizations that have not completed prior grant requirementsScholarships (however, scholarship awards are made through named scholarship funds)
