The World Reef Award honors individuals from under-represented demographics who excel in coral reef research. Awardees receive a US$2,500 cash prize, a certificate, and an invitation to present at the ICRS symposium. Additionally, they may contribute an article to Reef Encounters and could be granted ICRS Fellow Status if eligible. This award aims to recognize and support diverse voices in coral reef conservation and research.

NOTE: A nomination is due at the deadline.
The World Reef Award is reserved for those belonging to under-represented demographic (e.g., geographic location, social group, gender or background) in recognition of achievement in the field of coral reef research.
