The grant encourages innovative approaches to leadership and outreach, especially among youth, to inspire positive change and tackle global challenges.

Overview

NOTE: Organizations seeking grants should send an introductory letter summarizing their project to the designated email address. If they are interested, they will contact you. World Future Fund Grant Our planet is a world out of balance. We are borrowing from the future at a pace unprecedented in history. There needs to be a giant change in direction. We need to start building for a real future. We are interested in working with and funding groups that have a similar commitment. Our grant program is aimed at areas where other organizations may be better organized than we are, so a grant is more efficient that a WFF program. The World Future Fund is a non-profit organization that has been set up to do research and to educate people about the need for a greater commitment to investment in the future. We have been in business since 1995 and have been monitoring long term trends. Priorities A key goal is creating a sane society here at home in America. This means creating a social democratic society with basic government services that protect the people. America is nothing short of social chamber of horrors among developed states with astronomical levels of child poverty, millions in jail and no universal health insurance. We are committed to the creation of a social democratic society like Germany or Norway. A particular priority is the creation of a system which places labor union representatives on corporate boards.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. In certain unique situations we make grants to other non-profit organizations. Such organizations must be compatible with our main goals as defined on this web site.Geographic Scope of Grants:USA Europe (Particularly Germany and Norway)RussiaPakistanBoliviaWhat we do fund:Leadership education and networking. Speaking truth to power! What is your ability to reach top decision makers in government, the media and the public interest world? Like who? We want specifics. In the case of the media this means contacting those who control the media... not just appearing in media. Building coalitions for action. Must be connected to specific issues not hot air. Technology. We fund web upgrades, smart phone upgrades and so on. Outreach to political artists. Very important! How can we get artists to communicate about key issues? How can we inspire young people to be idealistic and avoid suicidal garbage like drugs and alcohol abuse and unsafe sex? Multicultural education, particularly in west. Very important! How we get beyond racist, "west is best" thinking? This poison even affects many "liberals" who want to invade other nations to make them like us. We want education about major world civilizations and religion to start at the elementary and high school level.

Ineligibility

We do not make grants to individuals. However, we sometimes offer consulting contracts to individuals who want to work on projects that are compatible with our goals. What we don't fund:Long-winded intellectual studies. No. We don't fund these. So tired of being bombarded with this sort of stuff. Seminars (except for those related to mobilizing lobbying). Decision makers rarely attend these. Seminars on Capital Hill for Congressional and Senate staff could be an exception.Vague talk about "reaching the people". You may be sending a billion e mails or whatever. If it's not connected to a clear strategy on specific issues... who cares?A media only strategy. Better than nothing but not adequate. A lot of decision makers will not read this stuff. Exception may be more likely here, however, to our general lack of interest.
