Note: The 2025 Grant Year will by invitation to currently established grantees only. If your organization has been invited to re-apply, please submit your report and grant request by May 30, 2025. Wolpoff Family Foundation It is the mission of the Wolpoff Family Foundation to attract, support and motivate established organizations that demonstrate true vision. To be considered established, an organization must have been up and running for at least 5 consecutive years. We are eager to champion organizations that create opportunities for others. Included would be opportunities to learn something new, stimulate creativity, strengthen community or advance research. The Wolpoff Family Foundation enjoys supporting its community, and may seek direct involvement with recipient organizations. Grants The Wolpoff Family Foundation funds programs and activities that are primarily located in Montgomery County, Maryland and benefit Montgomery County residents. Programs should encourage, support or expand activities related to community, career development, education, medical research, or arts & culture. Programs should meet a demonstrated need and be well defined with a measurable impact or outcome. Areas of Interest: COMMUNITY & FOOD SUFFICIENCY - The availability of resources, support and programming are essential to building and maintaining vibrant, strong communities. We support a variety of community needs and initiatives to reduce hunger in our community. EDUCATION & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - Access to education and the necessary tools and supplies can make a world of difference. We partner with organizations who provide the training, skills and services needed for those who seek employment or require additional skills to enter the workforce. ARTS & CULTURE - Exploring, teaching and experiencing art and cultural awareness provides an appreciation for the beauty and diversity of our world. We support programs that provide hands-on experiences with the arts or an opportunity to experience and learn about other cultures for children and adults. MEDICAL & HEALTH - The Foundation supports groundbreaking medical research programs specifically designed to prevent and cure debilitating and life-threatening diseases. Our efforts are focused in a specific geographic region and generally fall within the categories outlined. However, we are willing to consider requests outside of our stated scope on a limited basis, should that request align well with our stated mission. If you have a specific request that falls within the intent of our mission and program areas, we welcome your letter of inquiry.  Grant applications are extended by invitation only. Please note: our maximum grant for first time grantees is $15,000.

Eligibility

Ineligibility

Grants will not be awarded for ongoing operating support, endowments, capital construction, fundraising campaigns or efforts to influence legislation or public elections, or to pay off existing debts or deficits. Grants will not be awarded to individuals.
