Small Grants The Foundation makes Small Grants to charitable organizations and groups serving Forsyth County, North Carolina with annual incomes of $150,000 or less. This program provides grants of up to $2,000 to support a variety of program areas and purposes. The maximum grant available for youth athletic teams is $500. What we Value A strong Small Grant application will demonstrate some, if not all, of the following characteristics: Asset-Based Approaches Individuals who are directly impacted by the project are valued for their strengths and included in the organization's planning, development, and implementation processes. Building social capital Organizations prioritize building lasting connections and mutual trust with people of diverse races, classes, ages, and backgrounds to achieve common goals. Inclusivity Organizations intentionally include under-represented communities. Impact Organizations can articulate the impact of the project or service. Sustainability Projects and services aim to be sustainable in order to build trust over time. Due to limited funding and the intention to support a diverse range of program areas and organizations, the Foundation may not be able to support the same programs or organizations year after year.
