Windom Area Hospital Foundation Healthcare Career Scholarships

Mission: Providing charitable support for the medical and educational programs of Windom Area Hospital, apart from normal operating expenses.

Program Details

• Award: $1,000 per scholarship to local students pursuing healthcare careers
• Number of awards: Multiple scholarships available annually
• Geographic scope: Local students from the Windom area (Cottonwood, Nobles, Jackson and Murray counties region)
• Focus area: Healthcare field education and career development

Eligibility Requirements

• GPA: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, OR
• Program admission: Officially accepted into a healthcare program
• Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to following a course of study relevant to healthcare
• Renewable: Recipients may apply for scholarships in subsequent years

Partnership Opportunity

• Sanford Health Network partnership: Select recipients of Windom Area Hospital Foundation scholarships will have their application forwarded to Sanford Health for consideration for an additional $1,000 scholarship
• Sanford criteria: Must be admitted to a healthcare program with cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
• Application flexibility: Applicants may apply for the Windom scholarship regardless of Sanford eligibility

• Selected students must submit a photograph for use in future newsletters and marketing materials
