William P. Simmons Art Scholarship

  • Academic Status: Junior or senior year undergraduate OR graduate student

  • Major: Art degree (studio art, visual arts, or equivalent)

  • Nomination: Must be referred by art department at respective college

  • Enrollment: Must be enrolled as full-time student

  • Focus: Primary emphasis on painting, drawing, and visual arts
  • Award Details:

  • Student Award: $2,000 per year

  • Department Award: $500 to art department of recipient's school for cooperation and support
  • Award History (2022-2023 Cycle):

  • 2 recipients: Anna Richards (Wesleyan College, studio art major) and Amanda Herrold (Mercer University, art/religion double major)
