William J. Carl, III and Jane A. Carl Scholarship

Overview: This fund was established by FPC Dallas and is held at the Texas Presbyterian Foundation (TPF). It is overseen by the Carl Scholarship Committee of FPC Dallas. The fund agreement at TPF states that any scholarship recipient must be planning to be a Presbyterian minister and working on a Master of Divinity degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be a ministerial student enrolled in a Master of Divinity degree program at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary or another approved Presbyterian seminary
  • Must reapply each academic year

Applicant Preference (in order of priority)

1. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas 2. A member of the Presbyterian Church within Grace Presbytery 3. A member of Presbyterian Church (USA) in Texas

  • Scholarships are sent directly to the school
  • Receiving a scholarship one year does not guarantee receiving a scholarship in subsequent years
