Willard L. Eccles Grants

The Willard L. Eccles Charitable Foundation focuses on improving the well-being of individuals in Utah and the Intermountain West. Established in the early 1980s, it has contributed over $40 million to non-profits in various sectors including education, healthcare, and environmental preservation. The Foundation particularly favors projects that simultaneously address multiple areas of interest, with a strong emphasis on healthcare initiatives for underserved populations.

Since its establishment, the foundation has contributed more than $40 million to non-profit organizations in Utah, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Colorado.

Eligibility

Only organizations within the United States, classified as 501(c)(3) by the IRS, may apply.While support is directed primarily to organizations within the State of Utah, with a preference to Northern Utah, those based in Idaho may also receive limited support.

Ineligibility

Support is not given to individuals.Organizations whose purposes are of a political nature or who attempt to influence legislation are not supported.Organizations outside the above geographic area are typically not considered as part of the Foundation’s grant-making programs
