Funder: Caring Community Foundation (CCF) with funding from Nola Wilkerson

Purpose: Assist adults affiliated with Rock Creek Schools who wish to further their education as teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Award Amount: $1,000 per award

Recurrence: Annual

Eligibility:

Adults affiliated with Rock Creek Schools

Seeking further education in:

- Teaching
- School counseling
- Educational administration

NOT for graduating high school seniors

Background:

Established in 2020 by Nola Wilkerson

Named in honor of Larry Wilkerson (teacher, coach, and administrator at Rock Creek Schools for decades) and Nola Wilkerson (teacher and first elementary counselor for Rock Creek Schools, established 1987)

Scholarship continues the Wilkersons' legacy of support for Rock Creek Schools

Example Award:

First $1,000 award (2021) to Sarah Abitz for Master of Science degree in school counseling from Kansas State University
