Revitalization Grant for Pottawatomie and Marshall Kansas Counties

Funder: Caring Community Foundation (CCF)

Purpose: Support local revitalization efforts in small towns across Pottawatomie and Marshall Counties, Kansas. The CCF seeks to assist people committed to making a profound impact in their communities by supporting projects that visibly preserve or enhance downtown areas or support preservation, restoration, or creation of open/green/park space.

Geographic Scope: Pottawatomie and Marshall Counties, Kansas

Award Amount: $1,000 per award (2 awards available)

Eligibility:

  • Non-profit organizations based in Pottawatomie or Marshall Counties, Kansas

  • Must demonstrate IRS-recognized tax-exempt status OR apply through a sponsor organization that meets these requirements
  • Fundable Activities:

  • Project support for revitalization efforts that visibly preserve or enhance downtown areas

  • Support for preservation, restoration, or creation of open/green/park space
  • Not Fundable:

  • Salaries

  • Capital requests

  • Business operating costs

  • Debt

  • Replacement of existing funding

  • Fund raising

  • Projects that are political, religious, or discriminatory

  • Grantee Requirements:

  • Grantee is solely responsible for project administration

  • Must maintain records of receipts and expenditures for at least one year following project completion

  • All planned publicity requires prior CCF approval and must acknowledge CCF support

  • Grantee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the CCF, its board, employees and agents

  • Final narrative and budget report due within specified timeframe after project completion

    - How goals will be achieved and measured
    - Qualifications or experience of staff or volunteers working on the project

    - Complete budget table including:

    - CCF Fund Request amount
