Wildfire Disaster Relief

Funder: CAR Foundation in conjunction with the Colorado Association of REALTORS®

Background: The CAR Foundation was awarded a $100,000 grant by the National Association of REALTORS® REALTOR® Relief Foundation to help individuals and families affected by wildfires. The CAR Foundation added an additional $10,000 in funds.

Geographic Scope: Boulder, Grand, and Larimer counties, Colorado (East Troublesome, Calwood, and Cameron Peak Fire areas only)

Eligibility:

  • Individuals and families affected by the East Troublesome, Calwood, or Cameron Peak Fires

  • Must have lost primary residence or been displaced from primary residence/rental housing due to a qualified fire area

  • Qualifying occurrence must have been declared an emergency by the Governor within the last 30 days (per National Association of REALTORS® criteria)
  • Award Amount: Up to $1,000 per applicant

    Eligible Use of Funds:

  • Monthly mortgage expense on a primary residence

  • Rental housing cost due to displacement from a primary residence or rental relocation
