White-Reinhardt National Ag in the Classroom Conference Scholarship

Purpose: Provides travel expense funds for educators to attend the National Ag in the Classroom Conference.

Geographic Scope: Florida (educators and volunteers)

Eligible Applicants:

• Full-time educators
• Volunteers who actively participate in classroom agricultural literacy programs or events

Focus Areas:

• Agricultural literacy and education
• Food, fiber and fuel awareness
• Agricultural outreach to students

Benefits:

• Travel expense funds to attend the national conference
• Opportunity to gain information and knowledge to expand outreach to students regarding food, fiber and fuel

Background: The White-Reinhardt Fund for Education is a special project of the Foundation in cooperation with the AFB Women's Leadership Committee. It was established to honor two former chairs of that committee, Berta White and Linda Reinhardt, who were leaders in the national effort to improve agricultural literacy.
