Overview
Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative (CHELCO) funds an annual college scholarship to help members or their dependents with college expenses. Each year, qualifying applicants are entered into a random drawing and each selected recipient receives $1,000 toward higher education, announced at the Annual Meeting. To be eligible, applicants must be a CHELCO member or the dependent of a member and have a GPA of at least 2.50.

Apply through CHELCO's scholarship program (chelco.com). Note: CHELCO also funds endowed Northwest Florida State College Foundation scholarships whose applications are available from the college, not CHELCO.
