Welia Health Scholarship
Overview: Welia Health awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing careers in healthcare to strengthen the future healthcare workforce in the communities served.
Award Details:
- Graduating high school seniors from eligible school districts (Mora, Ogilvie, Hinckley, Pine City)
- Students intending to pursue careers in healthcare-related fields
Target Audience
- Healthcare or medical sciences
- Occupational needs identified by Welia Health
Field of Study
- Be a graduating high school senior from one of the four eligible school districts (Mora, Ogilvie, Hinckley, or Pine City)
- Intend to pursue a career in a healthcare-related field
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:- Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 semester credits) in a two- or four-year post-secondary degree program in a healthcare-related field
- Maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.2 or higher
Renewal Requirements
To maintain the renewable award for up to four years, recipients must:- Email: HR@welia.org

Application Requirements
Students must submit the following:
1. Completed Welia Health Scholarship Application - Download form from website
2. Letter of Recommendation - From a school official predicting the student's future success in post-secondary education and a healthcare career
3. Essay - 1–2 page essay describing educational goals as they relate to a chosen healthcare occupation
4. High School Transcripts - Official copy of most recent high school transcripts
