Watershed Council Support RFP The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) requests proposals from watershed-based organizations to support general organizational administration needs as well as conservation and educational activities. Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is available through this Request For Proposals (RFP). Individual grants are capped at $40,000 each with a 12 month timeframe. Areas of Focus for Funding Projects that will (in no particular order): Support the administration, capacity building, or staff training for eligible entities to increase the organization’s operational stability.Purchase equipment and supplies to support new or existing water quality efforts.Develop proposals or proposal elements for other water quality funding opportunities.Leverage local watershed planning efforts.Develop and distribute education and outreach materials relevant to the conservation or restoration of water resources.Assess the feasibility of or result in the adoption of water quality ordinances.Make progress toward reducing barriers to surface water protection or restoration at the local level.Eligibility
