Overview

Mission The mission of the WG Raoul Foundation is to support organizations that bring a better life to Georgia’s children with asthma with a primary focus on education and prevention. About the Foundation The W.G. Raoul Foundation was established by W.G. Raoul on November 10, 1913. The Foundation was originally established to reduce the burden of tuberculosis in Georgia and was instrumental in the establishment of many county health departments in Georgia. With improvements in treating tuberculosis, the mission of the Foundation has undergone several evolutions over time and is currently focused on addressing pediatric asthma. The Foundation holds Board meetings twice a year (spring and fall) to review submitted applications from non-profit organizations that address the mission. Given our narrow focus area, we are always interested in new programs working in this service area across the state of Georgia that we could support. Funding Priorities: The Foundation was established to address lung-related diseases in the State of Georgia. Today, the Foundation is solely focused on pediatric asthma programs and those programs that align with our mission to “bring a better life to Georgia’s children with asthma with a primary focus on education and prevention.” Types of Support Program Support Project Support Grant Range The average size of a first-time grant is between $20,000 – $70,000.
