NOTE: Due date: August 7, 2025 OR once all funds have been awarded. Volunteer and Civic Engagement Project Volunteer Mississippi, the Governor-appointed commission on service and volunteerism, announces grant awards to support Volunteer and Civic Engagement projects. Projects must take place within the specified time. These projects will engage Mississippians of all ages and backgrounds in service to their communities. Examples of volunteer and civic engagement projects include (but not limited to): Mentoring and tutoring projects Projects advocating for change and social justice Restoring natural areas (parks, rivers, beaches, etc.) Literacy projects Community arts projects Projects that address food insecurity, poverty, and homelessness Funding $1500 minimum - $10,000 maximum

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. 501(c)(3) designated nonprofits with an active registration with Secretary of State’s office OR public entity. Public or private nonprofit organizations, including faith-based and other community organizations; institutions of higher education; government entities within states or territories (e.g., cities, counties); labor organizations; partnerships and consortia; and Indian Tribes are encouraged to apply.Reimbursable expenses under the proposed project scope include, but are not limited to: Facility expenses Printing Supplies (i.e safety equipment, cleaning supplies, tarps, hand-held tools, office supplies) Advertising Training costs related to volunteer management
